FR Conversions Warranty

Three Years on the Conversion. We Handle the Claim.

Every new FR Conversions wheelchair van we sell carries a 30-day bumper-to-bumper and a 3-year/36,000-mile conversion warranty, on top of the chassis maker’s own factory coverage.

The Terms

What’s on Every New FR Van

Published by FR Conversions, LLC, Westminster, Maryland. Coverage belongs to the original owner.

CoverageTerm
Bumper-to-bumper, parts and labor30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever is less
Conversion — materials and workmanship3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first
ChassisFull factory warranty from Chrysler, Toyota, Ford, or RAM — separate from FR

The 36,000 miles are counted from the odometer reading at delivery to the original owner. Warranty work must be approved by FR Conversions before it begins. Implied warranties are limited to the term of the written warranty; the manufacturer’s warranty document governs.

Claims

How an FR Warranty Repair Works When You Buy From BRBS

1. Call us first

(423) 720-3055, or email [email protected]. Tell us the VIN and what’s wrong. Photos help. Don’t authorize repairs yet.

2. We open the claim

BRBS contacts FR’s warranty coordinator and gets the repair pre-approved. That approval is what keeps the work covered.

3. Parts ship fast

FR ships parts the same day on claims opened before 2:30 p.m. Eastern. The repair happens at a qualified shop near you, or your own fleet shop.

4. FR backs the shop

When needed, an FR technician guides the repair step by step by phone or video — and FR’s tech line is staffed 24 hours a day.

Good Questions

FR Warranty Questions, Answered

What fleet managers, NEMT operators, and families ask before they buy.

When does the 36,000 miles start?

At the odometer reading on the day the van is delivered to you — not at zero. A van delivered with 1,200 miles on it is covered to 37,200 miles. The 3 years run from your purchase date. That matters on in-stock and demo units that already have some miles.

What does the 3-year conversion warranty cover?

Defects in material and workmanship in FR Conversions’ modification of the van — the wheelchair-accessible conversion FR builds. If an FR defect shows up under normal use and service, FR repairs or replaces it at no charge. The chassis itself — engine, transmission, and the rest of the base vehicle — is covered separately by its own manufacturer.

Who do I call for a warranty repair?

Call BRBS first — (423) 720-3055. The key rule with FR: every warranty repair has to be approved by FR before the work starts, or it may not be covered. We open the claim with FR’s warranty coordinator, line up a qualified shop near you (or your own fleet shop), and keep the paperwork moving. You don’t drive the van to Tennessee or Maryland for warranty work.

How fast do warranty parts ship?

Once a claim is open and parts are needed, FR ships the same day for claims submitted before 2:30 p.m. Eastern, and the next business day after that.

Does my local shop know how to work on an FR conversion?

They don’t have to. When a repair calls for it, an FR technician walks the shop through it step by step by phone or video call. FR’s technical line is staffed around the clock for warranty questions, so a shop isn’t stuck waiting until Monday.

Does the FR warranty transfer if I sell the van?

No. FR’s conversion warranty covers the original owner. If you buy a used FR van, assume the FR conversion warranty is not in force — we’ll tell you exactly what coverage, if any, remains on the chassis before you buy.

Is the chassis covered by FR?

No — and that’s a good thing. The chassis keeps its full factory warranty from Chrysler, Toyota, Ford, or RAM, and any franchise dealer for that brand can do the work. These are mainstream platforms with dealers everywhere, so chassis service is rarely more than a short drive away.

What do I need to do at delivery?

Nothing extra. BRBS completes and files FR’s warranty registration and the pre-delivery inspection paperwork for you. We walk through the warranty terms with you when you take the van.
